Update Notes 9/18/2017

This update includes a few things that you all have been asking for a while, and a bonus money maker 💰!

  1. Item sales that span across your popups
  2. Item sale queues only for unconfirmed sales
  3. New states for orders
  4. Mailchimp email list building (early access)
  5. Image downloading (single items)

Item sales that span across your popups

From now on you will notice that when customers get in line for an item, they will be put in the same line regardless of the popup. This is a change from the previous behavior where each item would have its own line for each popup.

For example, when customer A claims an item in popup A, then customer B comes along and claims an item in popup B; customer B will be put 2nd in line for that item.

Note: Previous item sales will still have the same lineups as before. These changes only apply to items sold from here forward.

Item sale queues only for unconfirmed sales

We've switched up the queue even more by only taking into account those item sales that you had not confirmed. This is a switch from the previous behavior where all item sales, no matter the state, were used to calculate the position for a new item sale.

For example, lets say you have item A which has a quantity of 2. Item A also has one confirmed sale against it. Now a new item sale comes in for item A, whose position is now 1st.

This means that rejected sales are no longer shown in line!

Note: Previous item sales will still have the same lineups as before. These changes only apply to items sold from here forward.

New States For Orders

We've gone ahead and revamped the available states for orders to be a bit more robust and able to handle much more of your use cases. The following are the new states:

Open - Open orders are brand new orders that have not been processed. Typically, these orders need to be invoiced.

Invoiced - Invoiced means that orders have been invoiced and are waiting for payment.

Paid - Paid means that orders have been paid for and are ready to be shipped or picked up.

Shipped/Picked Up - Shipped/Picked Up means that orders have been paid for and have been shipped or picked up.

Complete - Orders marked as complete have been invoiced and have shipped.

Canceled - Cancelled orders should be used if orders are cancelled or if the orders have not been paid for. When you cancel an order, all unconfirmed items will be marked as rejected. Similiarly, when you reject all items in an order, the order will be marked as canceled.

On Hold - Orders placed on hold must be taken off hold before continuing any further actions.

The typical flow for an order will look like:

Open -> Invoiced -> Paid -> Shipped/Picked Up -> Complete

Additionally, if a customer doesn't pay, you can now mark their order as Canceled and filter out the canceled orders in your list by unticking the "Canceled" checkbox.

Mailchimp email list building (early access)

Email lists are one of those extremely valuable things that can help you continue to generate consistent income more easily. They future proof your business and allow you to switch product suppliers and still maintain your sales base! With that in mind we are working to give you the ability to prompt your users to subscribe to one of your email lists right from your popups. Popups are a great way for you to put your business in front of your customers, and growing your email list at the same time is an added bonus!

We are just starting the roll out of this feature and you can expect to see it available to you within the next few weeks!

Image downloading (single items)

We've given you the ability to download single images (multiple items at a time is coming soon)! To do so you can either right click on an image on desktop, or long press on your mobile device to see the option to save the image to your device.

Additionally, you will notice that there is a "Download" menu option for each item that you can use as well. Not all devices support this and you will be directed to the full image page if not, which you can then just use the method above to download!

Stayed tuned for support for multiple items downloaded at the same time. It's coming soon! ✌️

As always, you will need to refresh your browser to see these changes
